13 school children injured in taxi collission
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
13 primary school children have been rushed to various hospitals in Pinetown, after the taxi they had been travelling in was involved in an accident on the corner of Old Main Road and Cheriton Drive, this afternoon.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says they arrived on scene to find the taxi - which had been transporting the children - had veered off the road onto a nearby bank, after colliding with a vehicle.
"13 children had sustained minor injuries, and more ambulances were called to assist with the transportation of the multiple injured. Once the injured had been stabilized on scene, they were then transported to various hospitals to get the care that they required," he said.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
