12% of overall corruption cases recorded in KZN

Anti-corruption organisation Corruption Watch says more than 12% of the over 10 000 complaints in 2015 were reported to have taken place in KZN.
The organisation said in an annual report released today that corruption across South Africa increased by 15% last year.
It's director David Lewis says 16% of cases reported countrywide took place in schools.
"A very significant volume of those reports were about the corruption in handling of school resources. So compared to the Nkandla, arms deal this doesn't involve vast amount of money but involves amounts of money that are important for ordinary people," he said.
