Twelve people have been killed in two separate crashes in KZN.

A minibus-taxi and truck collided on the N3 between Bergville and the Tugela Plaza, leaving seven people dead. Six others were hurt when the taxi overturned on the southbound carriageway on Sunday afternoon.
Then hours later five people, including a four-year-old child, lost their lives in a crash in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban.
Emergency services say the collision happened on the N2 near the M37 last night.
Emer-G-Med says its paramedics and those from Netcare911 treated three other people on the scene before taking them to hospital.
"The crash involved a light motor vehicle and an SUV. The exact circumstances of the crash are not known and this stage and will be investigated by authorities,” KZN EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie says.
