12 killed in Midlands minibus crash

12 people including a child have been killed in a single-vehicle crash near the KZN Midlands.

The minibus they were travelling in, between Underberg and Bulwer, veered off the road and plunged down an embankment, late in the afternoon yesterday.
KZN EMS spokesperson, Rob Mckenzie says the wrecked vehicle came to a rest near a river in the Kamlenze location.
"Twelve People have sustained fatal injuries including a child", he said.
"Paramedics from various private services and KZN Emergency Medical Services responded. 3 patients are in a serious condition and were transported to hospital", McKenzie said.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
