Authorities in KwaZulu-Natal are urging caution on the roads after 11 people were killed in separate accidents over the weekend.
Five of the victims died in a collision between a bakkie and a car in Vryheid on Sunday night.
Another six were killed in a crash on the N3 in Cliffdale, near Camperdown.
The warning comes as thousands are expected to flock to eThekwini for the Durban July on Saturday.

"In the week of the department is calling for extra vision on the road and for drivers to take responsibility on the road," says KZN Transport's Kwanele Ncalane.
"As a department, we will be intensifying our campaigns of ensuring that we deploy traffic police in strategic areas and making sure that we deal with lawlessness on the road.
"We are also calling on road users, mainly motorists, to work with us in ensuring the laws are adhered to."
