Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Eleven people have died and several others were injured in two separate crashes on the province's roads on Saturday.

The first incident took place along the N11 involving three vehicles, leaving six people seriously hurt.
The second accident took place along the R617 in the midlands involving four vehicles, on of which was a minibus taxi, and resulted in the death of 11 occupants.
KZN Emergency Medical Service's Robert McKenzie says there was nothing that could be done to save the lives of those who died.
"On the scene, 11 people sustained fatal injuries and several people were transported to hospital by paramedics for continued medical care.
"The exact circumstance for this crash is not known and is going to be investigated by the police."
