106 turtle hatchlings released off Durban coast

Ushaka Sea World staff say it was a bittersweet moment when they released 106 loggerhead turtle hatchlings into the sea.
More little turtles were flown in from Cape Town's Two Oceans Aquarium after undergoing rehabilitation there.
They joined scores of turtles that were rescued on the west coast earlier this month and kept at uShaka for observation.
The turtles were released 10 nautical miles off Durban in the Agulhas current - yesterday.

uShaka's Malini Pather says she is confident the little creatures will be able to survive in the deep blue sea.
"It was quite incredible, especially because it's World Turtle Day. It takes so much more effort, energy, and time. You always worry when you release them into the ocean. What about all the things that could go wrong," Pather said.
Conservationists and animal lovers across the globe marked World Turtle Day yesterday.
