1 killed in Newcastle wall collapse
One person has died after being crushed by a wall that fell on him and three other people at a construction site in Newcastle.
ER24's Chitra Bodasing says emergency services personnel found four injured construction workers when they arrived on the scene in the town's CBD.
''A man found lying between some rubble was assessed. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead.
''Three others were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care,'' she said.
