1 killed in Eskom plant accident
Updated | By Pieter van der Merwe
One Eskom worker has died and four others left hurt after a crane collapsed at the Kusile Power Station in Mpumalanga.
Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe says they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the collapse.
The incident occurred late yesterday afternoon.
Phasiwe says operations at the power station have been halted to allow for an investigation.
"Today, we have the Portfolio Committee on Energy and Public Enterprises. They will be visiting the power station. So, I'm sure they'll also be [informed] about what has happened and what measures will be put in place to make sure that such incidents do not happen again," he said.
