1 killed, 7 hurt in R33 bakkie rollover
There is no clarity at this point as to what made the driver lose control of the vehicle at the wheel causing it to roll up an embankment ejecting the seven individuals it had been carrying at the back.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says of the injured three were seriously hurt last night.
"These people [injured] were ejected as the bakkie rolled over and they have sustained a lot of injuries", he said.
"The others sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor".
"Paramedics stabilised them on scene and transported them to nearby hospitals for further care", Botha said.
An official investigation is being carried out.
