1 killed, 17 hurt in Joburg bridge collapse
The Grayston Bridge over the M1 Highway in Johannesburg has collapsed, killing one person and injuring at least 17 others.
Paramedics say the bridge, under construction, collapsed earlier this afternoon.
ER24's Pieter Rossouw the cause of the incident is being investigated.
"The injuries that were sustained ranged from minor to critical. The cause of the incident remains unknown. Our local authorities are on scene. Further details will follow," he said.
