1 dead, 5 hurt in PMB school stabbing
An Eastwood community member says there are no words that can describe the pain the parents of a Grade 11 pupil who has been stabbed to death, are feeling.
Hershall Fynn, 18, was stabbed on Tuesday, allegedly by a fellow pupil of Eastwood Secondary School in Pietermaritzburg.
Five other pupils are said to be recovering in hospital, one of them is in ICU.
It's believed the boys were involved in a brawl outside.
Community member, Candice Naidoo says it's a sad day for the family and community.
"As a parent, I feel it for the deceased's parents. I feel it for the parents [whose] children are involved in this," she said.
Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu says they have closed down the school for today and matric learners who were were supposed to write their first paper today were moved to another school.
