'Grateful' Pandor welcomes South Africans from Sudan

Minister, Naledi Pandor has welcomed South African Citizens who were evacuated
from war-torn Sudan to the country.
About 53 citizens including one Zimbabwean and a Lesotho national landed at the OR Tambo Airport this morning.
10 arrived yesterday.
The Sudanese capital, Khartoum, has been hit by violence for two weeks as forces loyal to two generals battle each other on the streets.

Pandor spoke at a media briefing at the airport.
"We are happy that you are back home, there are 51 of you who have come back today and we have more who arrived yesterday on a commercial airline.
"I'm really grateful and I'm sure you will agree with me that we must thank our members in the South African National Defence Force.
"We must thank our state security agency and thank our diplomatic staff and officials in our Department of International Relations and Cooperation and of course must thank our ambassador to Sudan.
