Woman's death after Durban floods a tragedy: society group

The body of a woman who was swept away in Chatsworth last night by floods has been recovered.
The woman was reported missing after her car got stuck in the water on Silverglen Drive.
It's understood she was swept away while trying to get out of the car that was becoming submerged.

Shainel Ramdhan who is with the Allied Movement for Change was on the scene where the body was found this afternoon.
"The emotion is absolutely sad. Every single person here is in tears. It's tragic - it's not something that just happens. They couldn't find the body - they've been searching from last night up until this morning.
"There's also slight relief that we have found the body," he said.
Yesterday, the body of a man was pulled from the mud after a landslide destroyed several shacks in Cato Manor.
