Yes, queen! Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt announces Hollywood debut

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is making big moves in Hollywood. The 28-year-old has joined the cast of Netflix's new feature film, 'Heart of Stone'. 

According to Deadline, this is Alia's English-language debut in a major studio film. Alia joins 'Wonder Woman' actress Gal Gadot and 'Fifty Shades of Grey' star Jamie Dornan in the spy thriller. 

The "high priority" film is helmed by Tom Harper. Allison Schroeder, who co-wrote 'Hidden Figures', and Greg Rucka wrote the script for the movie.

It's unclear what role Alia will be playing in the film. Production has already begun, with Gal, who plays Rachel Stone, sharing a sneak peek of her character on Instagram.

"Rachel Stone. Nice to meet you," she wrote. Gal has several other Netflix movies lined up, including the sequel to 'Red Notice'.

Alia Bhatt is a big star in Bollywood. The actress has more than 80-million followers on Instagram and Twitter combined.

Her recent film, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi, was a huge hit. The Hindi-language crime drama had one of the biggest box office openings for a Bollywood film since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

According to several reports in India, the movie will be streamed on Netflix in April.
