Katlego Maboe has revealed that he is heading back to school. The TV presenter says he will be attending North-West University's business school.

"Been a student of life for the last two years, now it’s time to do it again, academically! Big things loading @NWU Business School! Cannot wait to recreate this memory - my first graduation!" Katlego wrote on Instagram.

The 35-year-old shared a picture from his first graduation. He previously completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Chartered Accounting at the same university.

Katlego seems to be forging a new path for himself following two years of controversy. His legal woes started in 2020 when his then-partner, Monique Muller, accused him of cheating and abuse. He lost his job as an 'Expresso' host soon after. OUTsurance also terminated his contract.

Katlego has denied the abuse allegations. The former couple, who have a child together, has been locked in a bitter legal battle since the allegations surfaced.

Katlego was awarded a legal victory earlier this year after a magistrate ruled that there were no grounds for Muller's protection order.

"On 27 January 2022, TV personality, Mr.Katlego Maboe, was absolved by the Magistrates Court against allegations of alleged misconduct, made by his former partner Ms.Monique Muller, in October 2020. The court agreed with the submission of a Point in Limine from Mr. Maboe’s legal team, ruling that there were no grounds for obtaining the protection order.

"Furthermore, the court has not made a finding of acts of domestic violence that were allegedly perpetrated against Ms Muller, and as such, the matter has been dismissed. This is a great victory for Mr Maboe, who has maintained his innocence throughout the two-year ordeal," a statement Katlego shared read.

Monique took to her Instagram Stories to share her side of the story following the ruling.

"To set the record straight: As per agreement between the parties, there has been NO NEW acts of domestic violence since the application of the IPO. This is the correct outcome as per the court ruling."

Katlego's career in the entertainment industry has taken a back seat over the past two years. It's unclear when - if ever - he will make a return to TV.

In the meantime, Katlego appears to be focused on raising his son and expanding his business career.
