Will Smith debuts 'Pretty Girls' music video
How can you not like this song if you like pretty girls? Fans react to Will Smith's new single.
Will Smith is back with another club-ready song, but the verdict is out on whether it is a banger.
The 56-year-old released the official music video for his new song, 'Pretty Girls.' As the name suggests, the video features many pretty girls.
Smith is surrounded by women of all shapes, sizes and colours and appears to be having a blast.
However, some of his fans have labelled the visuals and the song "cringeworthy".
"As a songwriter, whenever I think my lyrics are cringe, I will revisit this song," one person commented on YouTube.
OmArr, Lexoskeleton and Kastelo produced the track.
"I'ma post your pic if you pose/ Make one phone call, you in Vogue/ Head, shoulders, knees, toes/ Hold up, wait, pose," Smith raps.
Some suggested the Oscar winner was going through a midlife crisis.
"Midlife crisis in a music video," a YouTuber wrote. However, it wasn't all negative feedback. Some people loved the simplicity of the lyrics and the music video.
"I love it, very cheeky and refreshing. I missed when music videos were just fun and good vibes, so thanks for giving us a little bit of that, Will," one person said.
"How can you not like this song if you like pretty girls?" a second person asked.
Instagram users also shared their thoughts on his new music project.
"I appreciate the age-appropriate classy women he chose instead of half-naked girls," one person said.
Another commented: "Will makes fun music and the world needs that especially with all the crazy that's happening in the world today. Keep doing your thing, brotha."
Earlier this year, Smith released his first studio album in almost two decades, 'Based On A True Story'. The 14-track album featured collaborations with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Big Sean and Teyana Taylor.
His European fans will get to hear the song live soon. Smith will be touring the continent later this month.
