This is why Kelly Rowland was texting Nelly on Microsoft Excel

One of the most iconic moments in music video history has finally been solved.
'Dilemma' by Kelly Rowland and rapper Nelly was arguably one of the biggest songs of the early 2000s.
The pop and R&B ballad was Kelly's first major hit as a solo artist. The track soared to number one and was nominated for 'Record of the Year' at the 2003 Grammy Awards.
But there is one thing that didn't sit right with fans of the smash hit. A scene from the single's music video raised a few eyebrows.
It showed Kelly texting rapper Nelly on her Nokia phone using Microsoft Excel. "Where you at? Holla when you get this," the Destiny's Child star wrote.

The scene has baffled people for years. How did Kelly send a text message on Excel? It turned out that Kelly did not even know what Excel was at the time.
"I don't know what Microsoft Excel is. I don't have a clue. When I saw all these memes, I was like, 'I don't care," the 41-year-old told the hosts of 'The Real' in 2019.
It seems even Kelly has no idea how she managed to do what seems impossible. But according to a TikTok user named Dan Strong, sending a message in Excel is not as impossible as some think.
The man explains that you could use the hyperlink function to send someone an email straight from Excel.
