This has left many people on social media frustrated because they have a lot to say but can't share their rage on Twitter.
Twitter has been mocked for updating users about the problem by sending this tweet only a few people can read:
‘Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing – we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.’
Twitter user #JoshJokeDamman replied to the firm's update saying: 'How would Twitter users see this tweet if they're having trouble accessing twitter? Haha.'
Twitter has suffered two outages in the past 24 hours alone.
