ECR's top 5 podcasts this week - 22/02 - 1/03
Updated | By Diane Macpherson
What's gone viral in the East Coast Radio listening community this past week? We bring you ECR's most popular podcasts among our audience - based on downloads - for the past seven days (Friday 22 February and Friday 1 March.) Podcasts about sharks, data regulations and protest action were among the most downloaded this time round.
Our fifth most-listened to podcast was one about two important issues affecting listeners: protest action and its impact on motorists, and the problem of broken-down trucks on highways - something which also causes headaches for everyone caught up in the traffic jams that often follow. In the latest ECR Traffic Podcast by Jayshree Parasuramen - she speaks to Durban Metro police about possible solutions.
5. ECR Traffic Podcast 2: Protest action blocking roads; broken down trucks
Bongani Mtolo isn't known for mincing his words. When you first meet him, he can come across as quite arrogant. Bongani's explained why he chooses this approach.
3. The new cellphone data regulations in a nutshell
We rely on ECR Consumerwatch's Wendy Knowler to keep us in the know on any consumer issue, and this week's show featured a very topical subject: data! Wendy's podcast on the new cellphone data regulations, which kicked in officially today, was our third most-listened to podcast of the week. If you missed it, listen to the details below.
2. East Coast Breakfast's new jingle is here
Darren Maule is always looking for new ways to do things which enhances the
sound and look of the show. This time he pulled out all the stops to
get two rappers to create this epic jingle. Take a listen below and read more here.
1. Darren and Sky speak to Durban shark eyewitness
A two-metre shark spotted just offshore in Durban recently by a
fisherman was the most listened to podcast of the past week. Listen here
