It looks like cupid might have taken the year off in 2020, and who can blame him after the crazy year we have all had?!

Sadly, Cupid's arrows were needed in 2020 more than ever, particularly in Celebville.

Several celebrity couples called it quits in the past 11 months.

Sienna Miller and Lucas Zwirner, Taraji P. Henson and Kelvin Hayden, and Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde were some of the stars who ended their romances.

Here's a look at several other shocking breakups of 2020.

AKA and DJ Zinhle

We can't say anyone was surprised when AKA and DJ Zinhle went their separate ways (again) in 2020. Their rocky relationship has been the talk of the town for years. But fans were surprised to see how quickly AKA moved on. Shortly after confirming that he was no longer with Zinhle in January, AKA started liking his ex-girlfriend Bonang Matheba's pictures on social media.

As if that wasn't enough drama for the month, a video of the 'Fela in Versace' rapper kissing a mystery woman surfaced online. The woman was later confirmed to be Nelli Tembe - his new girlfriend!

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock called it quits just a few months after America's stay-at-home orders kicked in. The news came as a surprise to Kelly's fans as just three months earlier the singer had shared a sneak-peek of their life on their family ranch in Montana.

"Brandon and I love wide-open spaces and coming to the ranch because both of us grew up in the countryside and... we literally work almost seven days a week - if not seven days a week. So, um, when we have time off we really like to check out," she said in the clip.

Zodwa and Vusi Buthelezi

"We're the perfect match," Zodwa Wabantu's latest Ben 10, Vusi Buthelezi, told Drum magazine earlier this year. The 23-year-old graphic designer revealed they met at a steakhouse on Florida Road. He started doing some branding work for the 35-year-old before they started dating officially in May 2019. But by May 2020, the couple had gone their separate ways.

Things turned ugly in August when Zodwa announced that she needed help to track down Vusi after he allegedly used her name to get a brand new Audi R8.

"You slept in my house for a year, I paid for everything. You used my contacts and connections to get a new Audi because you knew my name would help you. Please give me back everything that is mine, I am coming for you and I am not scared," she said.

But it turned out that Vusi did not actually buy the Audi, and was simply posing next to it at a dealership. Yikes!

Demi Lovato and Max

2020 was an interesting year for Demi's love life. Just before the COVID-19 lockdown started she met the man of her dreams, Max Ehrich. They decided to quarantine together and made their romance Instagram official in March when Demi accidentally appeared in one of his Instagram Live videos.

They got engaged in July, but the sparks were short-lived. Demi called off their romance in September after old tweets and videos surfaced of Max declaring his love for Selena Gomez - her former best friend.

Mark Pilgrim and Nicole

Mark Pilgrim announced the end of his marriage to Nicole in a statement on Instagram earlier this month. The couple, who married in 2007, and have two children together. He said they "simply started growing apart".

Rihanna and Hassan Jameel

Rihanna had been dating billionaire Hassan Jameel for almost three years before news of their split broke in January. The couple quietly parted ways and she has reportedly moved on with rapper A$AP Rocky.
