One of SABC's longest-running shows will reportedly be coming to an end this week. The cash-strapped broadcaster has allegedly decided to give 'Top Billing' the chop.

The lifestyle TV program has been on-air for 23 years. The show's presenters, Basetsana Kumalo, Michael Mol, Ursula Stapelfeldt (now Chikane), and Jo-Ann Strauss, had us dreaming of a life of luxury.

As one Twitter user put it, "what the hell is going to motivate us to dream cause we all grew up with this idea I'll have the most beautiful house and you'll see it on top billing."

'Top Billing' featured some of the most amazing homes in South Africa, including an inside look the mansions of A-list stars like Bonang Matheba.

Celebrity weddings, exotic destinations, and interviews with movie superstars such as Sandra Bullock and Charlize Theron was the norm on the show.

The SABC is yet to confirm the cancellation but is expected to release a statement later today (Thursday).

According to reports, this week's episode will be the last. Repeats will reportedly be shown until March 2020.
