Sabrina Carpenter's new song debuts at #1
'Manchild' just earned Sabrina Carpenter her second number-one single on America's top songs chart.
Sabrina Carpenter isn't giving up her 'Pop Princess' crown anytime soon.
After dominating the charts in 2024 with songs such as 'Please Please Please, and 'Espresso', she is back with another banger.
Her latest song, 'Manchild', has debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
The track beat competition from other high-profile releases, including 'Sapphire' by Ed Sheeran and Mariah Carey's 'Type: Dangerous'.
Other new entries on the chart are Lil Wayne's 'King Carter', 'Cotton Candy', 'Sharks', 'Bells', 'Banned from NO', 'Welcome To That Carter' and 'Hip-Hop'.
According to Billboard, this is Carpenter's second No. 1 song after 'Please, Please, Please'. 'Manchild' is her first song to debut at #1.
She has also had four songs reach the Top 10.
The 26-year-old took to her Instagram Story to celebrate her latest music milestone.
"I can't tell you how much this means to me! This song makes me so happy. Thank you eternally for listening," she wrote.
Carpenter is credited as a co-writer and co-producer on the song.
"It's all just so familiar, baby, what do you call it?/ Stupid/ Or is it slow?/ Maybe it's useless?/ But there's a cuter word for it, I know/ Man-child," she sings.
'Manchild' features on Carpenter's upcoming album, 'Man's Best Friend'.
The song is also climbing up the ECR Top 40 with Styles (Brought to you by CTM). It is currently #26.
Sheeran's 'Azizam' rules the chart with Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' and Tyla's 'Bliss' hot on his heels.
