Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have clapped back at reports claiming they turned down an invite to King Charles' birthday party.

In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex say they are yet to even get an invite. King Charles will be celebrating his 75th birthday on Tuesday, November 14.

"In response to U.K. media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday. It is disappointing the Sunday Times has misreported this story," a spokesperson for the royal couple told The Messenger.

King Charles is reportedly hosting a private birthday party at Clarence House. Several family members, including his wife, Queen Camilla, and his eldest son, Prince William, are expected to attend.

William's wife, Princess Catherine, is also set to make an appearance.

Prince Harry fell out with his family after quitting royal life in 2020. He moved to America with Meghan and their son, Prince Archie.

Their daughter, Princess Lilibet, was born in the US. Harry opened up about his troubled relationship with his father and brother in a Netflix documentary that premiered in 2022 and his 2023 memoir, 'Spare'.

Harry revealed in an interview earlier this year that he hasn't spoken to his father and brother in a while.

"The ball is very much in their court. But, you know, Meghan and I have continued to say that we will openly apologise for anything that we did wrong, but every time we ask that question, no one's telling us the specifics or anything. There needs to be a constructive conversation, one that can happen in private that doesn't get leaked," Harry told Anderson Cooper in an interview with '60 Minutes'.
