River in Russia turns red

In bizarre news, the Daldykan River in Russia turned bright red on Tuesday.

According to Russia's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the change in colour was caused by “an unidentified chemical" from the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant, CNN reported.



However, the publication reports that the plant denies being the cause of the pollution. See video of the river below.
