Rita Ora fined R205k for 30th birthday party that broke lockdown rules

Rita Ora apologises for "serious and inexcusable error of judgement" after hosting a birthday party last week.
Drinks, presents, and a £10,000 (around R205, 000) fine - that sums up Rita Ora's 30th birthday celebration.
The 'For You' hitmaker came under fire for throwing herself a lavish bash - which was reportedly attended by 30 close friends and family.
Many accused the singer of flouting lockdown rules. Gatherings of 30 people are only allowed for funerals.
At one point during the party, which was held at a posh London restaurant, police were seen peering inside.
A source told the Daily Mail that Rita voluntarily paid the fine. She also issued an apology via her Instagram Stories.
"It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK... I'm deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk," she said about the small gathering.

I honestly couldn't pick out a @RitaOra song on the radio, since I don't have one and don't listen to any modern music unless I hunt it out...

... but this humble, sincere apology makes me think she's a good edd. I'll have a listen.
