Shauwn Mkhize is excited to welcome yet another grandchild.
Th proud granny threw the mother of all welcome parties to for her granddaughter, Baby Miaandy.
Miaandy is the daughter of Mkhize's musician son, Andile Mpisane, and his socialite wife, Tamia Louw.
The proud granny expressed how excited she was to welcome the new member of the family. "Welcome Home Baby Royal AM. You are loved beyond measure and we are all excited to watch you grow," she wrote.
"You have extended our family and our hearts are full. Thank you for being our ray of sunshine and beacon of hope," she added.
"We love you and we will always stand by your side," she added.
Shauwn's daughter-in-law, Tamia, also shared her excitement about being a mother.
"Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Psalm 127:3. Today has been so special and one of the most memorable days of my life. We finally got to take our beautiful baby girl home. She’s only 2 days old and I’m madly in love with her, I can’t believe she’s mine and I thank God for trusting me with her," she wrote on Instagram.
She went on to thank her husband for being by her side when she gave birth to their daughter.
"@andilempisane10 22 hours of labour and you never left my side. I’m so grateful for your love and support. We did it babe!"
She also shared her excitement about the homecoming.
"Lastly, I would just like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support and well wishes, most of all thank you so so much to my family for such an amazing homecoming. Baby Miaandy is so blessed," she wrote.
Baby Miaandy was born on Sunday, 15 May. The bundle of joy arrived in the early hours of the morning.
Mkhize took to Instagram to announce the birth.
"The Mpisane, Louw and Mkhize family are pleased to announce the arrival of Baby Miaandy. Our little princess arrived safely early this morning at 00:14 am weighing 2.8kg."
She also revealed that the baby is safe after delivery.
"Mommy @tamia_mpisane is also safe and recovering, dad @andilempisane10 is extremely tired but in good spirits. We thank God for the safe delivery and thank you to every one for the well wishes. On a lighter note she was waiting for grandma to come back from the match to witness her arrival. I am over the moon to be a grandma again," she wrote.
