Oprah Winfrey loves her "girls". The American talk show giant walked South African Glori Nelson (née Rapalalani) down the aisle during a beautiful ceremony in Atlanta.

Glori was one of the first girls to graduate from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Gauteng.

After graduating from the academy, she flew to America to study at Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia.

Glori obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Marketing and Management.

Oprah's appearance at the wedding is making headlines all over the world. The 65-year-old billionaire wore a gorgeous Kaftan created by local designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee

Glori was thrilled to have her "mama bear" by her side.

"My three mama bears walked me down the aisle. One walked me in spirit. I lost my mum when I was ten and her spirit gained me to them. A praying mum, dead or alive, is sooooo powerful!" Glori wrote on Instagram.

One month before the wedding, Oprah and some of the other girls from the academy helped Glori choose her dream dress.

Oprah reportedly spent R140,000 on the dress.

"I’ve known these girls since they were 12 and 13 coming to my school. Graduating from college. Grad school. Now our first wedding. Looking for the perfect dress," she captioned a picture of their trip to a Saks Bevery Hills bridal store in California.
