"A weekend filled with official photos still hasn't made this feel real yet! I'm still pinching myself! I'm just so honored and humbled to be Mrs South Africa 2015! Thank you again for your support in EVERY step of my journey to seeing my dream become a reality," Sarah-Kate Scott and our new Mrs South Africa wrote on her Facebook page earlier today.

The 31-year-old, from Hartbeespoort, was crowned Mrs South Africa 2014/15 on Friday night at Emperors Palace.

She walks away with a prize package valued at over R500 000.

Sarah-Kate is a mother of two boys and is a successful business woman – she is the owner of the bespoke gifting company, the Turquoise Tiara.

Described on the Mrs SA pageant website as "a real and humble woman with a warm personality, who wants to use her life experience to inspire others" Sarah-Kate says she wants to create a “Mom Movement” campaign, which will reinforce positive upliftment and share topics of concern through workshops.

Sarah-Kate is a patron for Cupcakes for kids with Cancer and says she wants to continue her work for them as well as CANSA – the pageant's official charity – to campaign for Cancer awareness in our country.

Sarah-Kate Scott’s eldest son was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 18 months and together with her husband – media personality Darren Scott – they have fought and won the battle against Cancer.

Beyond the glitz and the glamour of a crown, is hard work. “I wish to be a vessel to help others” says Sarah-Kate.

She will be representing our county at the Mrs World Pageant, to be held during November in the USA.

Runners up to this year’s title were chosen as Riana Mooi (41) from Roodepoort Johannesburg and Mirell Ventura (26) from Northcliff Johannesburg.
