Famous American comedian, Pete Davidson, has reportedly been charged with reckless driving, reports Sky News

The prosecutors formally charged Pete after the actor crashed into a home in Los Angeles on March 4. He was driving a Mercedes-Benz when he crashed into the house at around 11pm. TMZ reports that the house has since been demolished.

According to Sky News, officers believed the speed of the vehicle contributed to the crash, although they did not offer more details about the crash.

The prosecutors reportedly used Pete's case to show how serious reckless driving is and how it can have “devastating consequences”.

"We believe that Mr Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home," the District Attorney's office said in a statement.
