The 'Quantico' star added that the show will be a game changer.

"It is going to change the game for every artist on this continent. I cannot wait for every young woman, every woman on this continent and on this planet to meet Queen Sono. We’ve worked so hard for this."

The series was created by actor and director Kagiso Lediga, as well as executive producer Tamsin Andersson.

Both Kagiso and Tamsin worked on the local movie 'Catching Feelings', which launched globally on Netflix in May.

Pearl and Kagiso played the lead roles in the film.
