Our top 'Tache crushes

This one is for the ladies. Movember has come to an end and to celebrate the efforts of the campaign, we've compiled a list of five top Movember eye candy.

Our top 'Tache crushes

The campaign's origins stem from raising awareness on the impact of prostate and testicular cancer - drawing attention to early cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment. Prostate cancer is said to be the most common cancer in men in SA.

With growing popularity, Movember - also known as No-Shave November - has seen men worldwide grow moustaches and beards during this month.

So, we’ve chosen - at random - five worthy candidates that we find Mo-inspiring.

Here's a list of our favourite men in moustaches.

George Clooney

Sporting a greying beard, he epitomises the phrase 'growing old gracefully.' Clooney is one of the few Hollywood stars preferred with facial hair than without. His marriage to renowned human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin had many worrying about who will replace Hollywood's most eligible bachelor. He's also talented, having won two Academy Awards. Need we say more?

Idris Elba

It must be the English accent or perhaps that he's pulled off the role of SA's most adored icon in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. He's been quoted as saying: "There is something quite devious about my personality. I'll be the upstanding gentleman. But behind closed doors, I want to let loose." We'll leave this here.

Prince Harry

He's our favourite royal - aside from the crush we have on Kate Milddleton's wardrobe. Pictures of the prince practically went viral when he debuted the new facial hair at the Battle of Britain flypast in September. Women love a philanthropist - he supports UNICEF, the National AIDS Trust and Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. To put it mildly, he's our number 1 ginger.

Maps Maponyane

Known as the one-man brand on a pair of spectacles, Maps is the face of contemporary men's fashion. He is also the son of football legend, Marks Maponyane. His 'tache is understated and adds the right amount of years to his chiselled face.

Johnny Depp

If you're going to cast Depp as the lead actor, best believe his moustache will be a co-star. His messy hair and quirky look can't be ignored either. The actor is known for effortlessly portraying oddball characters - to mention two - Captain Sparrow in Pirates of the Carribean and Charlie Mortdecai in Mortdecai.
