'KPop Demon Hunters' songs race up the charts
Everything is 'Golden' for one of the songs on the 'Kpop Demon Hunters' soundtrack.
Alex Warren's reign at No.1 could soon come to an end.
His hit single, 'Ordinary', faces stiff competition from 'Golden', a song featured in Netflix's animated movie, 'Kpop Demon Hunters'.
The 'Ordinary' has spent nine nonconsecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 100, but the demon hunters are coming for his throne.
The fictional girl group HUNTR/X performs 'Golden'. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI provide the singing voices for the characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey.
'Golden' is currently #2 on the chart.
According to Billboard, 'Golden' simultaneously tops Streaming Songs for a second week, up 13% to 28.9 million streams — as it’s the Hot 100’s top gainer in streaming for a fifth consecutive week."
The song has already reached the top spot in the UK. It kicked Justin Bieber's 'Daisies' off the No.1 spot on the Official Singles Chart.
'Golden' is the second K-pop song in UK history to make it to #1 on the chart after Psy's 'Gangnam Style'. BTS' 'Butter' peaked at #3 while Blackpink's 'How You Like That' reached the top 20.
Another 'Kpop Demon Hunters' song is also racing up the Billboard Hot 100.
'Your Idol' entered the top 10 for the first time. Saja Boys, the rivals of HUNTR/X, perform the song.
Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo and samUIL Lee sing the track. It's currently at #9.
The 'Kpop Demon Hunters' soundtrack jumped one place to #2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Morgan Wallen's 'I'm the Problem' is at #1.
There aren't any 'Kpop Demon Hunters' songs on the ECR Top 40, but there are plenty of back-to-back chart-toppers.
Benson Boone's 'Mystical Magical' leads the chart ahead of Tyla's 'Bliss' and Justin Bieber's 'Daisies'.
