Britney Spears grateful "amazing" Michelle Williams will narrate her book

Several female celebrities were reportedly considered for the narration of Britney's book, but Michelle's "class and elegance” won her team over.

Oscar-winner Michelle Williams will narrate the audiobook of Britney Spears' upcoming memoir, 'The Woman In Me'.

Britney is set to release her tell-all memoir on Tuesday, October 24. According to People magazine, Britney will be reading a small part of the audiobook.

The 'Me Against The Music' singer told the publication that she has chosen to only do the introduction because "reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least".

Britney will be telling her story on her terms after years of silence about the challenges she has faced behind the scenes.

"The secrets I’ve had to hold are honestly paralysing," she said in 2022, several months after her 13-year conservatorship came to an end.

Britney tells People that she is "grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams" for reading the rest of her audiobook, which will be released on the same day as her memoir.

Michelle was more than happy to narrate the book when she was approached by Britney's team.

"I stand with Britney,” she told People.

According to Page Six, other female celebrities were considered for the gig, but the 'Princess of Pop' picked Michelle because of her "class and elegance”.

"There was a mutual attraction from all sides based on Britney’s powerful narrative and what Britney went through and Michelle’s own integrity and history with her own emancipation issues,” a source told the publication.

There's also another reason Michelle is the right woman for the job. The 43-year-old 'Dawson's Creek' star legally emancipated from her parents when she was just 15 years old.

She did so in order to pursue her acting career. According to The Guardian, her parents approved of the decision, which allowed her to work adult hours.

Britney has described her book as "a labor of love" and her fans can't wait to hear what she has to say about the ups and downs of her career and personal life.
