Taylor Swift has revealed that she has a new song coming out soon. A preview of 'Carolina' debuted in the trailer for a new movie called, 'Where The Crawdads Sing'.

The film, which is based on a 2018 novel of the same name, stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Taylor John Smith. The film is produced by Reese Witherspoon's production company, Hello Sunshine.

Taylor says she was inspired to write 'Carolina' after reading Delia Owens' book.

"'Where The Crawdads Sing' is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side," the 32-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Taylor added that the full version of the single will be available soon.

"I wrote the song 'Carolina' alone and asked my friend @aarondessner to produce it. I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to match this mesmerizing story. You’ll hear it fully soon, but for now check out the @crawdadsmovie trailer for a clip!"
