Lady Du took to Twitter to defend herself following comments she made about her beef with K.O.

The amapiano star was a guest on 'The Episode' podcast this week. She dismissed remarks the rapper made about her not releasing new music in 2022, saying she has bigger numbers.

"Let me tell you something about people that don't check numbers. Go to my socials and check how many followers I have. Go to his followers. Then you go to my music and then you go to his music. I'm not going to say anything after that. Check the numbers, don't go write a song," she said.

Lady Du was referring to K.O's diss track, 'Forecast 23', which was released a few weeks ago. He took a swipe at Lady Du because she made comments about his hit single, 'Sete'.

The 31-year-old questioned if the song was as big as K.O claimed.

“Sneak dissing is some sh*t I don't want to see a Lady Du. Grow up and leave the gossip. You posted in your stories trying to claim SETE wasn't gold but then a day a two it reached platinum. How did that make you look?” K.O, whose real name is Ntokozo Mdluli, rapped.

Lady Du told the hosts of 'The Episode' that she didn't bother responding to K.O's diss track.

"If I had replied to him it would have brought attention to him, which is why even on Twitter I was the only one trending. But if I had replied, we'd both be trending."

She says she wrote a reply to his diss but decided it wasn't worth it.

"When I started looking at our numbers, I was like hai no. If I release this it's going to benefit him not me. Because he hasn't even reached a million. I am on 1.7 (million). Just my music numbers... let's leave SETE out because that's where the issue is.... go to my numbers on Spotify, Apple Music and just check one of my songs."

Lady Du added that she achieved more in her short career than K.O did in his entire career.

"All of eight years of work and I did that in a year."

Lady Du received flak on Twitter for her comments.

"She brags about amapiano numbers. K.O is making hip hop bangers in a country that has 90% of the population listening to amapiano. You need to [be] relevant for a long time to reach K.O's level," one Twitter user wrote.

Another user added: "Your doing great and God bless you,but truth be told you nowhere near Ntokozo in terms of Music including numbers."

A third person wrote: "I don’t understand why Lady Du thinks she’s bigger than K.O. The truth is Lady Du was only popping when Mpura and Killer Kau were alive, she fell off after that.Lmao now she’s tryna revive her music career by creating unnecessary beef with K.O."

Lady Du clarified her comments on Twitter, saying she never said she was bigger than K.O.

"I said I chose not to reply. He came for my music, I checked the streams I chose not to reply. Kuphela nje," she wrote.

Lady Du added in another post: "No man should ever come for a woman’s bread and butter no matter what the situation is, we all don’t have the same setup, I’m not signed to no record label that helps push my music so yes my music might be dated but it did what it had to. I respect people and educate where I can."
