The Miss South Africa top 10 finalists have officially been announced.

Lalela Mswane, from Richards Bay, says she is "grateful" to be representing team KwaZulu-Natal.  The finalists were announced on Tuesday.

Gauteng's Cheneil Hartzenberg, Kgothatso Dithebe, Tiffany Francis, and Moratwe Masima also made the cut.  Bianca Bezuidenhout, Catherine Groenewald, and Jeanni Mulder will be representing the Western Cape. The Eastern Cape's Kaylan Matthews and Zimi Mabunzi are also in the top 10.

The top 30 were selected by former winners, Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala (2010), Liesl Laurie (2015), Melinda Bam (2011), and Tamaryn Green (2018).

Lalela says she entered Miss SA to pursue her childhood dream.

She counts her mother as one of her role models.

"She is the greatest giver of love, patience, kindness, affection and support. She never fails to extend grace even when she experiences injustice. With exceptional resilience, strength and profound wisdom, if I could be only half the woman she is, I would truly be one great woman.

"I also find inspiration in the late actress, Audrey Hepburn. She was a classic beauty and style icon, and always radiated effortless elegance yet what made her the most beautiful was her philanthropy."
