Kanye West changes his name for the second time
The artist formerly known as Kanye West and Ye would like to reintroduce himsef.
Kanye West is switching up his name again. He now goes by Ye Ye.
His financial officer, Hussain Lalani, revealed the name change in business documents filed in California.
West was referred to as Ye Ye in the paperwork.
The rapper made headlines in 2019 when he revealed that he was considering changing his name. He legally changed it to Ye West in 2021.
The 'Runaway' hitmaker has continuously slammed the music industry for not addressing him by his new moniker.
He even got his chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, to send out a letter of demand in 2024.
"Ye is one of the most recognisable people in the world, on par with presidents and popes," the letter read.
"He didn’t take the decision to change his name, potentially sacrificing some of the immense value captured by the brand of ‘Kanye West,’ lightly. The change was made fully, legally, and permanently. This is who he is now. His name is Ye."

The rapper, who was born Kanye Omari West, says his birth name is a "slave name".
"Ye is a black man in America who wants the right to full self-determination just like everyone else," Yiannopoulos said.
Earlier this month, West revealed that he wants to officially change his X handle to @ye. The account, which has over 33 million followers, is currently @kanyewest.
His Instagram handle has already changed to @ye.
"Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest Twitter cause my name is Ye. Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is," he wrote.
It looks like his team will have to send out another letter of demand. West has a strong connection to 'Ye'. He named his 2018 album 'Ye'.
"I believe 'Ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible. In the Bible it means you," he told Big Boy at the album's listening party.

West is not the only person in the family with a unique moniker.
The four children he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian also have unconventional names.
His eldest daughter is North West. Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, revealed why she named her daughter North on a 2013 episode of 'The View'.
“I love the name North. I’m pro-North, absolutely,” Jenner said.
"The way she explained it to me was North means ‘highest power,’ and she says that North is their highest point together. And I thought that was really sweet.”
Saint West was the next addition to the family, followed by Chicago West and Psalm West.
