Bollywood TV and film stars have begun arriving in Durban ahead of tomorrow’s glitzy SAIFTA (SA India Film and Television Awards) event.

Three TV couples, Amir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh, the TV actress who starred in Kayamath and Dastaan on Zee TV; Rithvick Dhanjani and Asha Negi, as well as Ravi Dubey and Sargan Mehta, will be performing romantic dance routines in the SAIFTA Show.

Among the Bollywood arrivals are Rithvick Dhanjani and Asha Negi (pictured above). They touched down at King Shaka International Airport earlier today.

By tomorrow, some eight aircraft carrying around 350 people would’ve landed at King Shaka International Airport, bringing film producers, directors and actors.
Dia Mirza and Maduri Dixit were amongst those who arrived yesterday afternoon. Dia and filmmaker and TV host, Karan Johar will be hosting SAIFTA 2013.

Madhuri Dixit, who arrived on the same flight as Mirza, is cited as Bollywood’s best actress and dancer.

The ‘Dancing Queen’, holds the record for the highest number of Best Actress Nominations (13) at Filmfare.  In 2008 she was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India.

The two beauties will be performing alongside local dancers in vibrant cross-cultural sequences choreographed by renowned ‘Dance India Dance’ judge, Geeta Kapoor.

Dance will form a major part of the inaugural SAIFTA entertainment line-up. Bollywood actress and model, Elli Avram will dance with TV anchor, Manish Paul.

They both starred in Micky Virus, which was directed by Saurabh Varma and their performance will be integrated with the film on stage.

Former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra, and film producer, actor and former model, John Abraham, will land tomorrow.
