But Joe says he is innocent and is hoping to get a presidential pardon. According to Entertainment Tonight,  the 57-year-old wrote a letter to Kim in November pleading for her help.

"I know you have never met me and may never want to however I do believe that you hold the values of our justice system dear to your heart.

"I am writing you this letter not as Joe Exotic but as the person Joseph Maldonado-Passage, asking you to please help me by just taking 10 minutes out of your life and placing a call to President Trump," he wrote.

Joe added that he has a 257-page pardon.

"It's all the evidence. I'm innocent and ask him to sign my pardon so I can return home to [my husband] Dillon [Passage] and my father."

If you're wondering why Joe would write to Kim of all people, the KKW Beauty mogul is known for helping with prison reform. She is also studying to become a lawyer and plans to take the bar in 2022.

Kim told Vogue magazine that her prison reform efforts inspired her to go to law school. Kim helped secure the release of Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who spent 21 years in prison for a non-violent drug-related offence.

The 40-year-old visited the White House in 2018 to discuss prison reform with President Trump and lobby for Alice's release.

Kim visited the White House again earlier this year with some of the people she helped get clemency.

President Trump is reportedly planning mass pardons for his family, friends, and allies before he leaves the White House in January. He might even pardon himself!

Will Joe Exotic make the list? Only time will tell.
