2020 was a tough year for couples. We saw A-list stars like Kelly Clarkson file for divorce during the COVID-19 lockdown.

But it wasn't all doom and gloom for relationships in 2020. These stars are proof that love wins in the end.

Sidwell “Psyfo” Ngwenya and Aamirah

Former YO.TV presenter Sidwell “Psyfo” Ngwenya shared some special news on his Instagram page in November. "Officially Mr and Mrs!!! I could not have wanted a better partner to do this with. I love you very much Mrs Ngwenya," he wrote.

The couple's wedding was held on top of a mountain in KZN's Tala Valley. A small number of family and friends attended the celebration, which Aamirah hinted led to some drama.

"I wanted to share after someone asked me this morning [about] how I felt throughout the planning process right up until the actual day and AFTER. Some people aren’t talking to me about my own wedding...Happy to have had fights along the way to learn more about myself and the people in my life too. It’s never easy but it’s always worth it," she revealed on Instagram.

Somizi and Mohale (white wedding)

Somizi and Mohale's January 2020 white wedding was the talk of Celebville. Stars such as Bonang Matheba and Cassper Nyovest turned up for the posh ceremony - which took place less than four months after their traditional wedding. They were planning a third ceremony overseas in July, but were forced to cancel those plans due to COVID-19.

We're still not sure when Amanda du-Pont's top-secret wedding took place, but she revealed she was officially off the market while paying tribute to her grandmother in June.

"I lost my gogo last night. If you know me well you’d know she was my fav. Everything in my body is aching and so painful. But I’m happy you are resting and no longer in pain. She promised to wait until I was married before she passed. Over the last couple of years, she would hint that she was getting tired. I’m married granny and I’m ok, hope you are too," she wrote on Instagram.
