Canadian singer Grimes recently endured a disastrous Coachella set which has led to her having to apologise to her fans.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, was recorded screaming in frustration multiple times and stopping songs midway through her performance. She even had to explain to the audience that all her tracks are “double the tempo".

“All my tracks are double tempo and I can’t do the math,” she said on stage.

“They’re borderline un-mixable, so the rest of my set won’t be mixes but it’ll still be fun,” she continued.

Taking to her social media, the 36-year-old, who has three children with billionaire Elon Musk, apologised to her fans for the disastrous performance.

"I want to apologise for the technical issues with the show tonight," she wrote on X.

She says what led to the mix-up was that she allowed others to organise the tracks and mix instead of doing it herself, which she usually does.

"I wanted to come back rly strong and usually I always handle every aspect of my show myself - to save time this was one of the first times I've outsourced essential things like rekordbox bpm's and letting someone else organise the tracks on the sd card etc," she added.

The Canadian musician says she had a bad feeling before the show.

"I had a bad feeling beforehand not having run everything through the cds myself and though I flagged it I wasn't insistent," she added.

The singer says the disastrous performance came with several lessons, such as "if u want it done right, do it yourself" and "pretend it's fine and engage with the crowd rather than spend a whole show slumped over the desk trying to fix software when you're meant to be entertaining".

She assured her fans that she would "personally organise all the files next week" and "will not let such a thing happen again".

She ended her post by apologising again.

"Plz forgive me! Love, always," she wrote.
