Find out the perfect age to get married

With the divorce rate constantly on the rise, getting married at a certain age could actually lead to a longer lasting union.

A study by University of Utah sociologist, Nick Wolfinger, has found that the best time to get hitched is between the age of 28 and 31 – especially if you want to avoid a divorce.

“The odds of divorce decline as you age from your teenage years through your late twenties and early thirties,” he wrote in the study.

He added that the chances of divorce increase again in your late 30s and early 40s.

Wolfinger says people in this age bracket have a better chance of avoiding divorce, because unlike many in their early twenties, you have likely taken on some major life responsibilities.

You are also mature enough to know if you are truly in love or you are just blinded by raging hormones.

Unlike people in their late 30s and over, you are probably less set in your ways and can make adjustments if need be.

You are likely able to financially support yourself, and possibly someone else, as you have been working for a few years already.

The reasons for divorce are vast, so it is not safe to assume that you won’t part ways with your spouse if you get married at Wolfinger’s perfect marriage age.

It just means you are most likely at the best stage of your life to make a much better decision.
