Enhle Mbali has won an award at the 2023 Screen ATX in America.

Screen ATX is a two-day film festival held in Austin, Texas, every year. It is the state's leading independent film festival.

Enhle won in the 'Best Actress' category for her performance in 'Four Walls'. She was nominated alongside Salomé Costa ('Consumption'), Gail Cronauer ('Hit Squad'), Soleia Clark ('Sam'), and Lesley Tesh ('Kid').

The winners were officially announced at the end of April, but Enhle was unable to attend. She shared a video message on Monday announcing the news to her more than two-million Instagram followers.

"What a great pleasure to have won Best ATX actress for the movie/short series FOUR WALLS. Thanks to my producers, directors, fellow cast and crew. It would have not happened without you… WE DID IT," she said.

Fellow actresses Connie Ferguson, Brenda Ngxoli, and Winnie Ntshaba congratulated her on the win.

'Four Walls' is a collaboration between Weldun Media, in association with the National Film and Video Foundation, and the Gauteng Film Commission.

Enhle plays the lead role in the local drama which also stars Khulu Skenjana, Jeff Jackson, Gift Leotlela, and Terrence Ngwila.

"Four Walls, a great story of how a woman. Who is a nurse ( played by me) has to face adversity of abuse with very few people who believe her or assist her. Till the end!!! A great truth is revealed and freedom is hers once more. This is a great watch if I must say myself. Tears, sweat and blood were put into this and I think as an audience you will be both shook and entertained," Enhle wrote about the Kgosana Monchusi-directed project last year.
