Dr Musa Mthombeni recently became a board-certified specialist radiologist - and the celebrations are continuing.

The 33-year-old celebrated his success with his fellow radiology students at a special dinner this week.

"Last night was a celebration of success with my little radiology family. College exams are probably what hell feels it. Personally, I hate education and this series of exams reminded me just how much. Anyway, we succeeded by fire or by force and here we are. The Wits 2023 First Semester Radiology Class," he wrote on Instagram.

Musa first announced his new qualification two weeks ago.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Dr. Musawenkosi Mthokozisi Mthombeni- FC Rad Diag(SA)," he wrote on Instagram.

The TV presenter said he was pleasantly surprised when he received his results and had to ask his wife, former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie, if she could also see the word "pass".

"All the studying (and you know I hated every minute of it) has paid off. Liesl’s man is a Specialist which means Liesl is now also a Specialist- what a spectacular woman she is! My enemies must contact AVBOB today! Right now! Update your details because I’m going to be insufferable for at least the next 18 months. If you thought I was problem before- hahaha you’re not going to hear the end of it now!" he teased.

Liesl left a sweet message for Musa in the post's comment section.

"I love you my superstar! I am so proud of you!!!" she wrote.

More than one year before receiving his results, Musa told his Twitter followers that he would drink a glass of champagne if he passed.

The former YoTV star kept his word!

"On 31 March 2022 I tweeted that I would drink a bottle of champagne (my first alcoholic drink ever) when I passed my Specialist exams…. Well, here we go! This was on the night the results came out," he caption a video of himself popping a bottle of champagne.
