Demi Lovato celebrates engagement: "I get to marry the love of my life"

Congratulations are in order for Demi Lovato and her fiancé  Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes. 

The two lovebirds got engaged over the weekend. 

Demi announced the engagement on her social media pages, stating how excited she is to be marrying the love of her life.

She described the proposal as the 'best night' of her life.  

"I’m still speechless," wrote Demi. "Last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life @jutesmusic," she added. 

The 'Cool For The Summer' hitmaker thanked Lutes for being a dream come true. 

"My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you... every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true."

She added that she can't wait to get married. 

"I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you, baby," she wrote. 

The singer also shared photos of her engagement ring. Messages of congratulations have been flooding her social media pages. 

Matthew Scott Montgomery wrote: "It was perfect - you’re both perfect - I'm over the moon happy for you."

"I am so happy for you both! @jutesmusic is so lucky to have you. May this l[o]ve grow infinity. I love you and am so happy for you. Gorgeous news," wrote Selmar Blair. 

Other celebrities, including Dani Vitale and Molly O'Malia, also congratulated the couple.

Jutes also took to social media to celebrate Demi saying yes to his proposal. 

"Yesterday I asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes," wrote Jutes. 

He added that he couldn't imagine life without Demi and said he felt like the luckiest man alive. 

"I can’t imagine my life without you and thank god now I’ll never have to. Feeling like the luckiest man alive right now," he wrote. 

"I’m so in love with you," he ended his post. 

The engagement comes after Demi told Howard Stern in an interview in November that they had discussed marriage. The pair have been dating for a year.
