Crystal Hefner is opening up about life inside the Playboy Mansion as Hugh Hefner's wife.

The model talks candidly about their relationship in her newly released memoir, 'Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself'.

Hugh died in 2017 at the age of 91. Crystal was his wife at the time.

The 37-year-old was in her early 20s when she made her first visit to Hugh's infamous mansion.

"I was 21 years old when I found myself on the front stoop of the Playboy Mansion. I want to tell the real story of my time there - the good and the bad, the dark and the light," she said.

Crystal, who married Hugh when she was 26 and he was 86, makes some shocking revelations about what happened behind closed doors in her book.

While Crystal says she did love Hugh, she admits that he was sometimes cruel.

'"I loved Hef, I cared for him. But in some ways that he treated me, I just felt, OK, this guy can't really be in love with me," she told E! News

"It was very traumatic. It was emotionally abusive. It was very restrictive. I didn't realize how bad it was until I was away from it for a while," she added.

Crystal says the Playboy lifestyle cause people a lot of trauma.

"A lot of women that have been in Hef’s orbit, they’ve lost their sparkle,” she told PEOPLE.

Crystal became Hugh's #1 girl after Holly left. According to Crystal, girls as young as 11 would allegedly write to Hugh following the show's success. They too hoped to be Playboy Bunnies one day. Hugh allegedly told them to wait until they were 18.

When Bridget and Kendra left the mansion, they were replaced with teenage twins Karina and Karissa Shannon.

The twins were invited to the mansion on their 19th birthday. They later said their intimate time with Hugh was "like you're having sex with your grandpa".

Crystal described intercourse with Hugh as "robotic". He allegedly invited five girls at a time into his bedroom. Crystal was relieved when their odd bedroom antics ended.

Hugh's past girlfriends said they "tried to get it over with as quickly as possible".

Crystal is reportedly thinking about legally changing her surname back to her maiden name of Harris.

"Yeah, I don't want that name," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
