Miley Cyrus is kicking off 2023 with the release of a new song this month. But the timing of the release has raised a few eyebrows.

'Flowers' is set to drop on January 13 - the same day as her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth's 33rd birthday. Miley's fans are convinced she takes a swipe at the actor in the song.

The 'Malibu' singer released a teaser clip for her new song on social media with some interesting lyrics.

"Yeah, I can love me better than you can," the 30-year-old sings in one teaser. Miley also shared some of the lyrics in another post

I can buy myself flowers
I can take myself dancing
I can hold my own hand
I can love me better than you can

Eagled-eyed fans also noticed that a dance Miley did in one teaser clip is similar to one she did during a red carpet appearance with Liam for a Vanity Fair event in 2019.

Miley tried to dance on Liam during an Access Hollywood interview at the event. "No, no, we're not doing this. Not on the red carpet," Liam says awkwardly.

The red carpet interview seems a like a reach, but coupled with the song's release date and Miley describing their marriage as a "f***ing disaster", fans are confident tea will be spilled come January 13.

Miley announced her song during her live New Year's Eve special on NBC. She co-hosted the special with her godmother, Dolly Parton.

The pair sang several of their hit songs together, including 'Wrecking Ball' and 'I Will Always Love You'.

Miley's fans are eagerly awaiting for her new song to drop.

"Miley’s telling the world she can love herself better ON LIAM’S BIRTHDAY?! She definitely didn’t lie when she said she’s got nerve," one Twitter user

Meanwhile, it looks like Miley won't be the only one busy in 2023. Liam, who is the younger brother of 'Avengers' actor Chris Hemsworth, is also working on a new project.

He will be replacing Henry Cavill's character in Netflix's fantasy series, 'The Witcher'.

"As a Witcher fan I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure," Liam said after the October announcement.

He added that he is excited to be part of the popular series.

"Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world. @henrycavill @witchernetflix."

Henry has one more season as Geralt in 'The Witcher' before Liam takes over. Season 3 filming wrapped up late last year and is expected to debut sometime in 2023.
