Bride’s wedding day mugshot goes viral
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A Ghanaian woman just had possibly the
worst wedding day experience in history.
Cecilia Siaw was pulled out of her wedding ceremony by police before she could say her “I dos”.
She was set to marry her German fiancé at Portsmouth Register Office in the United Kingdom when she was arrested for immigration fraud offences.
The 45-year-old, a qualified teacher, was hauled down to the police station still dressed in her wedding dress.
According to reports, she was charged for overstaying her leave to remain in the UK, and buying dodgy identity documents, which she allegedly paid £5,000 for.
Officers showed the would-be-bride no mercy, and promptly booked her for her crimes.
Her wedding day mugshot is making headlines around the world, and internet users feel she should also be booked for several eyebrow and makeup offences. Ouch!
As if her wedding day nightmare was not enough, Cecilia has also been sentenced to six months behind bars!
