Two of Indian cinemas biggest actresses have booked their tickets for Durban. Madhuri Dixit and Priyanka Chopra are set to dazzle fans at SAIFTA next month…

Madhuri and Priyanka won’t only grace the SAIFTA red carpet – they’ll be performing at the event too! With just over two weeks to go before the uber-glitzy South Africa India Film and Television Awards take place here in Durban, more stars are confirming their attendance.

Bollywood stars John Abraham, Jaqueline Fernandes, Ranveer Singh and Siddharth Malhotra will join TV celebs Manish Paul, Mona Singh, Apurva Agnihotri and Shilpa Agnihotri among others at Durban’s ICC alongside a slew of SA talent including Durban’s Karen van Pletsen, The Durban Gospel Choir and Aaron MacIlroy.

Bollywood heavyweight, Saif Ali Khan, who was due to host the event has been forced to hand over the role to celebrity filmmaker Karan Johar. Saif can’t be here due to a clash of dates. Karan will bring his own brand of humour, wit and charisma to complement co-host Dia Mirza.

SAIFTA takes place on 6 September at the Durban ICC Arena. Over 150 prominent film and TV personalities will strut the SAIFTA red carpet, Oscars-style, along with the who’s who of the film and television industry from SA and India.

Over forty Durban SAIFTA dancers will be starting rigorous nine-hour daily dance rehearsals for sixteen days, until the strict choreography of Mumbai expert, Geeta Kapoor, who was a judge on TV reality show ‘Dance India Dance.’

An audience of 6,000 fans and celebrities is expected to attend the gala SAIFTA extravaganza and plenty more will gather on the Durban ICC Arena Concourse to witness the red-carpet arrivals.

Tickets for SAIFTA 2013 are available at Computicket.
